A \u201eKulturpass\u201c<\/strong>is planned to provide students with discounted access to events. At the same time, cultural activities will increasingly take place near universities and on campus in order to foster interaction between students and the local population. These efforts are being driven by the working group \u201ewir4-Kultur\u201c<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sports<\/strong> Counselling & Placement<\/strong> Shaping the future together<\/strong> Over the past few months, we have been working intensively on concrete ideas and measures aimed at better integrating international students into the region, opening up new opportunities for them, and at the same time sustainably strengthening connections with society, associations, and businesses. The working group \u201ewir4-Sport\u201c<\/strong> is developing formats such as football tournaments and sports events in cooperation with regional clubs, as well as a company run designed as a low-threshold networking platform. In addition, a coaching certification program in English is planned to enable international students to actively participate in local sports clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the core of this initiative is a planned Digital HUB<\/strong> (website, app, and potentially a physical location), which will connect students and companies. It will bundle information on clubs, cultural activities, volunteering opportunities, as well as job and housing offers, and provide companies with a shared knowledge space for talent acquisition.
Complementary measures include a \u201ewir4-Unternehmer\u201c<\/strong>(\u201cwir4-Entrepreneurs\u201d) network for international professionals, a mentoring program, online formats for companies (e.g., on intercultural competence, academic programs, and the potential of students who have discontinued their studies), as well as excursions to regional companies. Furthermore, a student meeting space<\/strong> at Freiraum Klingerhuf (Neukirchen-Vluyn) is also currently under conceptual development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
